Cartridge Filter Cleaning:

What’s included?

  • Disassemble filter and remove cartridge(s)

  • Fully clean the inside of the filter tank

  • Thoroughly flush and clean cartridge(s), top to bottom, with a garden hose, removing dirt and debris from the surface of the filter elements

  • Inspect cartridge(s) for broken bands, worn fabric, damaged pleats, and cracked end caps

  • Lubricate filter tank O-ring with silicone-based lubricant

  • Reassemble the cartridge filter

  • PLUS, Clean the pump pot basket and pool skimmer basket

  • Cartridge filters are not able to be back washed, therefore they need to be disassembled at least every six months to ensure proper filtration and to make sure your pump isn't overloaded, which can cause it to wear faster.

Cartridge filters have a core of polyester or plastic which are encased by high strength polyester and together make up a cartridge. The water enters the filter and must pass through the cartridges before being sent back to the pool. Cartridge filters occupy a large surface area that allows them to capture and remove large amounts of dirt and debris from the pool water. The pool cartridge filters are designed to remove dirt and debris particles down to the 10 micron size, which is about the size of pollen.

Cleaning a Cartridge filter is a very time consuming task, but we can take care of it for you!

DE Filter Cleaning:

  • Fully clean inside of the DE filter tank

  • Thoroughly flush and clean grids with a garden hose, removing contaminated DE from the surface of the filter elements.

  • Reassemble filter

  • PLUS, Lubricate push-pull-slide valves and clean the pump pot basket and pool skimmer basket

  • Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) filters should be disassembled and cleaned every 6 months.

D.E. filters are one of the best ways to keep your pool clean and clear, but just like cartridge filters, they need maintenance in order to keep them running smoothly.

The main components of a DE filter are the DE tank, grids, DE medium and pressure gauge. A DE Filter can filter out particles down to 4 microns, which is about the size of a red blood cell. The filter uses DE to coat and protect the internal grids, and provides the filtering action which enables the filter to remove very small particles.

These filters should be back washed once a month in addition to the twice a year tear down.

We have trained Techs that are experienced with D.E. filters and know how to spot leaks and properly inspect your equipment.

Sand Change:

What’s included?

  • Open the Sand Filter and remove all of the old sand

  • Thoroughly inspect lid, O-rings and manifolds for any damage or wear

  • PLUS, Lubricate push-pull-slide valves and clean the pump pot basket and pool skimmer basket

  • As a pool owner, it is recommended that every 3 to 5 years, you’ll need to change the sand in your swimming pool filter in order to keep it working efficiently.

Over time, sand loses its roughness, which is an attribute that makes it good at the filtration process.

When the sand in your pool becomes smooth, your filtration system will be less effective, which in turn could cause cloudy water or algae to appear in your pool.

Give us a call if you are past due on changing the sand in your filter or if you are seeing cloudiness in your pool.

Sand Change Prices starting at $375

*Final pricing will depend on how many bags of sand are needed for the size of your filter. Please reach out to our team for a quote.
