Cartridge Filter Cleaning

What’s included? We will:

  • Disassemble your filter and remove the cartridges

  • Fully clean inside of the filter tank

  • Thoroughly flush and clean cartridges

  • Inspect cartridges for broken bands, worn fabric, damaged pleats, and cracked end caps

  • Lubricate the filter tank O-ring

  • Perform a FREE pool inspection and chemical analysis

  • Most cartridge filters have 4 individual cartridges inside, made up of a core of polyester or plastic encased by high strength polyester. They are designed to remove particles as small as 10 microns, which is about the size of pollen.

Over time, debris, algae, and dirt build up inside the filter, reducing its effectiveness and putting extra strain on your pool equipment.

    That’s where we come in!

DE Filter Cleaning

What’s included? We will:

  • Disassemble your DE filter and remove the internal grids

  • Fully clean inside of the DE filter tank

  • Thoroughly flush and clean the grids

  • Inspect the grids for tears, holes, and broken frames

  • Lubricate the stand pipe O-ring and filter tank O-ring

  • Re-charge the filter with the correct amount of DE required

  • Perform a FREE pool inspection and chemical analysis

  • DE stands for diatomaceous earth, which is made up of microscopic skeletons of Diatoms, an ancient sub aquatic creature! Pretty cool, huh?

We use DE to coat the grids inside DE filters, removing debris as small as 4 microns, which is about the size of a red blood cell.

DE filters should be backwashed once per month and cleaned twice per year.

    We’d love to help!

Sand Change

What’s included? We will:

  • Open your sand filter and remove and haul away all of the old sand

  • Thoroughly inspect the lid, O-rings and laterals for any damage or wear.

  • Add new sand or glass media

  • Lubricate the push-pull-slide valves

  • Perform a FREE pool inspection and chemical analysis

  • Sand filters use the rough edges of sand to trap particles as small as 20-30 microns. Over time, the sand becomes smooth, and needs to be replaced.

We recommend replacing the sand every 3-5 years. This is a very labor-intensive job that we’d love to help you with!

Glass media can be used instead of new sand, which filters particles as small as 5 microns and lasts 3 times longer! Ask us for more information.

IS IT TIME FOR A FILTER CLEAN?

IS IT TIME FOR A FILTER CLEAN?

If your pool struggles to stay clean and clear, it may be time for a filter cleaning!

We recommend cleaning cartridges and D.E filters every 6 months. Sand filters should have the sand changed every 3-5 years.

Proper maintenance and backwashing are essential to keeping your pool filter running properly and will extend the life of your equipment.
